John LaPine: Writer, Poet, Teacher

My name is John LaPine and I am a writer, poet, and educator. I have had a passion for writing and language since high school. I’ve been getting lost in books since I was in elementary school. I believe great writing has the power to transport the reader to a different time, place, set & setting entirely. In 2013, I graduated from Northern Michigan University (NMU) with a BA in English, journalism minor, and I graduated from NMU with an MA in creative writing and pedagogy in 2017. My thesis, An Unstable Container, has been adapted into a creative nonfiction chapbook forthcoming from Bull City Press. I teach English at Butte College in Chico, CA.
